Welcome to Spectrum Voices! As someone on the autism spectrum , I know firsthand how important it is to have a platform to share our experiences and perspectives with the world. That's why I created this blog - to give a voice to individuals on the autism spectrum and to help others understand and appreciate the diversity of the autism community . In this first article, I want to talk about some of the common misconceptions about autism that I have encountered throughout my life. These misconceptions can be harmful and perpetuate negative stereotypes about individuals with autism , and I believe it's important to address and correct them. One of the most common misconceptions about autism is that individuals with autism are not capable of forming social connections or friendships. This is simply not true.
